Plugin Review: After The Deadline

after-the-deadlin-postToday I wanted to write about this plugin After The Deadline which I use on this blog. This plugin after the deadline helps you write better blog posts by Contextual Spell Checking, Advanced Style Checking and Intelligent Grammar Checking. Here’s what the plugin actually does:

Checks Spelling
After the Deadline’s spell checker recommends the correct word 9/10 times. The spell checker looks at context and uses artificial intelligence to make recommendations.

Detects Misused Words
A common error is writing one word when you mean another. Most spell checkers assume any word in their dictionary is correct regardless of context. This means all misused word errors go unnoticed.

Checks Style
After the Deadline helps you write clearly and concisely. The style checker has thousands of rules and uses context to choose the best suggestions. The rules come from a style known as Plain English.

Checks Grammar
The grammar checker in After the Deadline protects you from common writing errors. The grammar checker has a database of rules that look at entire phrases and parts-of-speech to find errors. After the Deadline uses statistics to automatically find exceptions to its grammar rules, making it one of the smartest grammar checkers around.

This is one of the best plugins I’ve used till date and I must say that it’s saved me a lot of time from editing my blog posts in a word document. This plugin is a must have on your blog…

You need an API Key to run this on your blog which you can easily obtain on the After the Deadline website by registering with your details.

You can download the free plugin from the wordpress website by clicking Here

Hmm, that’s of course very “cool” but don’t you think reading through your posts before publishing serves as well? I mean if we are contributing to the web (through blogs and websites) shouldn’t we as human beings (with brains in most cases) justify our contribution by making it flawless by any means?

The checking of style is a somewhat very nice feature and because of that I’ll have a closer look at it. Thanks for sharing, never heard about it before.

This plugin looks incredible. I’m surprised I didn’t read about it anywhere else. I have this habit of drafting my posts in MS Word, run the spell/grammar check before pushing it to the site.

  9. I did not know about this plugin, although I agree that one must proof read your content before publishing it. I know there can still be errors and that it does happen, but one can minimize it if done correctly.

Thanks anyway for sharing info about this plugin.
