What is Deep Linking? Is it Good?

good_linksDeep linking, on the World Wide Web, is making a hyperlink that points  to a specific page or image on another website, instead of that website’s main or home page. Such links are called deep links.

There are a few pages / posts on our websites and blogs that we would like to rank for. And there is no better way to do this other than deep link those pages / posts.

In other words, websites with a lot of traffic and a lot of links are seen as more valuable to people than websites with less traffic and fewer links, regardless of how the content on that website is perceived. The point of search engines is to locate what people are interested in finding when they search for certain keywords and topics, so in most cases, whatever is most popular and influential will rise to the top because of deep linking and search engine optimization for increased traffic.

If you get enough deep linking, you will see your website rank higher, more people will find you through those deep links, and you will be better able to hold your position.

Use the following steps to Deep Link your Website / Blogs:

1) Select the post / page that you would like to rank for on the WorldWide Web
2) Start commenting on other blogs using URL of the page /post

Note – There are some webmasters who will have a problem with this, but based on my experience – most of them support it.

In my next post, I’ll show you ways to find “do follow” blogs to comment on…

I’ve always trying to create at least 1 link back to all my previous post. That way I can make sure that my older post won’t get burried.
